Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an Aircraft Mission Maintenance Supervisor in New Mexico to oversee daily mission maintenance tasks, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and timely completion. You will assist the Aircraft Mission Maintenance Manager with scheduling and leading a maintenance team while training staff and maintaining records.

The role requires strong leadership, up-to-date FAA knowledge, and willingness to deploy or travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
5+ years of aviation experience.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
Willingness to travel outside the continental US and deploy up to 90 days OCONUS.
Must have current U.S. security clearance.
Willingness to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily mission maintenance activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities for timely completion.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Train and develop maintenance staff to enhance skills and performance.
Monitor use of tools, equipment, and materials and ensure safe operation.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical problems and ensure safety.
