Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corp is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Manager I in Englewood, CO to oversee all aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring safety, airworthiness, and cost efficiency. You will plan schedules, supervise teams, and ensure compliance with FAA/EASA regulations while deploying as required to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and regulatory expertise, with readiness to travel and obtain/maintain US DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of aviation experience.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations.
• Willingness to travel outside the continental US and deploy OCONUS.
• Ability to meet DoD and security clearance requirements.
• Excellent communication and budgeting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule aircraft maintenance and repair activities.
• Supervise maintenance personnel ensuring safety standards.
• Conduct foreign object inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Establish work standards and shifts for efficiency.
• Analyze delays and implement process improvements.
• Maintain airworthiness and safe operation of the fleet.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and allocate resources.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices.
