Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a Supervisor Aircraft Maintenance to lead a team in ensuring aircraft readiness for departure. You will support mechanics in the hangar and at airports, collaborating with Airport Operations to maintain safety, reliability, and on-time performance.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of FAA regulations, and hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance. This position includes shifts across all hours and may include travel for training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Airframe and Powerplant license required.
• Airport Driver’s permit required.
• SIDA badge required.
• CAT III and ETOPS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance team to ensure aircraft readiness for departure.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control and other departments to track maintenance status.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and Southwest Technical Operations Handbook.
• Oversee maintenance documentation entry and accuracy before aircraft returns to service.
• Manage shifts, assign tasks, and communicate procedures to staff.
