Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance Manager to plan, oversee, and optimize maintenance and repair of the fleet. You will lead qualified technicians, ensure safety standards, and maintain accurate records, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet schedule and budget requirements.

The role requires extensive aviation experience, FAA A&P certification, and strong knowledge of FAA/EASA regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
7+ years of aviation experience.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA).
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
General knowledge and understanding of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Plan and schedule aircraft maintenance and repair activities to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
Supervise and manage maintenance personnel, ensuring they are qualified and adhere to safety standards and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve issues.
Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring resources are used effectively.
Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
