Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to install, configure, and commission a range of security and telecommunications systems in the Florence, KY area. You will lead installation teams, mentor Level I technicians, and coordinate with project leaders to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.

The role requires hands-on field experience, knowledge of low/high voltage electrical work, and familiarity with TCP/IP/VoIP networks, along with excellent communication and a US

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Hands-on field experience from previous work.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, computers, VoIP).
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
• Working knowledge of IT networking, configurations and IP addressing.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Previous experience with service ticketing processes.
• 1+ year of knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid US Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities following documented standards.
• Demonstrate organizational skills in handling project and service tickets with prompt updates.
• Understand project scopes and service expectations and take accountability for tasks.
• Assume leadership by delegating tasks within the team’s capabilities.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and seek feedback for improvement.
• Maintain effective communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue ongoing professional development, focusing on leadership and communication skills.
• Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) prior to installation and ensure systems meet quality standards.
• Configure and commission systems to deliver reliable, fully functional solutions.
