Job summary

K Group Companies in Florence, KY is hiring a Field Service Technician II to lead installation teams, configure and program devices, and oversee system commissioning. You will mentor Level I technicians, manage service tickets, and ensure project success across diverse environments.

With 2+ years in construction and strong electrical, networking, and nurse call/CCTV experience, you will collaborate with project coordinators and customers to deliver high-quality outcomes while advancing

Qualifications

Must have at least 2 years of experience in a construction trade.
Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
Hands-on/field experience from previous work.
Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, computers, VoIP).
Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
Working knowledge of IT networking, configurations and IP addressing.
Ability to read architectural drawings.
Team management/supervisor experience.
Experience with service ticketing processes.
1+ year of experience with fire, CCTV, intrusion, or nurse call systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Valid US Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities following documented standards.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills for handling project and service tickets with prompt updates.
Understand project scopes and service expectations and take accountability for tasks.
Lead by delegating tasks within the team’s capabilities; foster collaboration and growth.
Mentor Level 1 installers and solicit feedback for continuous improvement.
Maintain regular communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers as needed.
Apply expertise with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems on diverse projects.
Pursue ongoing professional development focusing on leadership and communication.
Perform FAT testing of products before installation to ensure quality.
Configure systems and commission them to deliver reliable, fully operational solutions.
Take on additional duties as needed by the business.
