Job summary

K Group Companies seeks a Field Service Technician Level II to support Blue Ash, Ohio area installations. You will lead Level I install teams, configure devices, test FAT, and coordinate with project staff to ensure smooth commissioning and customer training.

The role emphasizes leadership, networking basics, and hands-on field experience across telecom, electrical, and security systems, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade.
• Advance knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage)
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.)
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling
• Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing
• Ability to read architectural drawings
• Team management/supervisor experience
• Previous experience completing projects within scope
• Previous experience with service ticketing processes
• Required 1+ year of previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Must have valid US Driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I installer roles and responsibilities following documented standards.
• Lead project/service tickets with organization and timely updates.
• Take ownership of tasks and deliver exceptional results.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and foster growth.
• Communicate with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Apply expertise with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue leadership and communication development opportunities.
• Perform FAT testing and ensure system readiness for installation.
• Configure and commission systems to provide reliable, fully operational solutions.
