Job summary

RXO Inc. is hiring a Last Mile Operations Manager in North Jackson, Ohio. The role oversees contract carrier operations, routes, and daily performance, while coaching staff and ensuring policy compliance.

You will manage dispatch, train carriers, and seek efficiency improvements across routes. The position requires 5+ years in logistics with supervisory experience; a bachelor’s degree in business or logistics is preferred. Some holidays, weekends, and travel between branches may be required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of contract carriers, including maintaining contractor schedules and routes.
• Develop and mentor staff to reach goals; train staff on policies and procedures.
• Interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and resolving issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies, procedures, and programs.
• Supervise employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training and evaluating performance.
• Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes.
• Manage the dispatch of contract carriers and resolve issues throughout the day.
• Identify problem areas, including restructuring routes to improve operational efficiencies.
• Train and develop contract carriers and dispatchers to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Ensure that all work is completed accurately and within established timeframes.
• Allocate and request additional resources as needed.
