Job summary

Stanley Martin Homes, headquartered in Reston, VA, is seeking a Land Trainer to advance the capabilities of our Land Acquisition, Entitlement, and Development teams. This role combines subject-matter depth with hands-on learning design and field coaching to accelerate onboarding and performance across the Land discipline.

You will partner with Land leaders and SMEs to translate real-world processes into engaging training solutions, lead onboarding, and travel up to 25% to support field

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Land Acquisition, Entitlement, or Development experience.
• Experience building training in land processes and delivering field coaching.
• Ability to translate complex land concepts into practical learning.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for field engagement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary subject matter contributor in at least one land discipline.
• Partner with Land leaders to identify capability needs and training priorities.
• Translate complex concepts into engaging learning solutions (ILT, e-learning, case studies).
• Lead onboarding programs to accelerate readiness for new Land team members.
• Coordinate training operations and field coaching to ensure quality experiences.
• Continuously improve programs using feedback and performance data.
