Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced Senior Land Survey Project Lead to run a variety of boundary, topographic, construction, ALTA/NSPS surveys from kickoff to final delivery. You will coordinate field crews and office staff to ensure quality and on-time results.

This role offers ownership of scope, schedules, budgets, and client relationships, with relocation support possible. On-site opportunities in VA or FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL is in scope.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of land surveying experience.
• Proven experience managing or coordinating surveying projects.
• Strong understanding of land surveying principles and practices.
• Experience with boundary, topographic, construction, and/or ALTA/NSPS surveying.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively coordinate field and office teams.
• Professional, client-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Surveying software, CADD, GPS, and digital field-data experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead land surveying projects from initiation through final delivery.

• Coordinate field data collection, processing, drafting, and final project production.
• Identify project risks, resolve issues, and keep projects moving forward.
• Collaborate with internal teams to balance technical requirements, client expectations, and project deadlines.
• Help maintain a high standard of quality, service, and professionalism across assigned projects.
