A well-established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Surveying Project Manager to lead and manage a variety of land surveying projects from initiation through completion. Responsibilities
- Manage multiple surveying projects simultaneously while ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, proposals, and timelines.
- Coordinate field crews, CAD technicians, and other project resources.
- Review survey deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates.
- Support business development efforts through networking, proposal preparation, and client engagement.
- Mentor and develop junior survey staff and project personnel.
- Assist with resource planning and workload management across project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive surveying experience with project management responsibilities.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/RLS) license preferred or ability to obtain.
- Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and related survey services.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Proficiency with industry-standard surveying and CAD software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
