Job summary

Confidential Employer is seeking an experienced land surveying leader to manage projects from kickoff to final delivery on-site in Virginia Beach, VA and additional locations. You will coordinate field crews, oversee budgets and schedules, and maintain strong client relationships to deliver ALTA/NSPS-compliant work.

With 5+ years in land surveying, you will apply technical guidance on boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA/NSPS surveys while ensuring high-quality results and professional

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of land surveying experience.
  • Proven experience managing or coordinating surveying projects.
  • Strong understanding of land surveying principles and practices.
  • Experience with boundary, topographic, construction, and/or ALTA/NSPS surveying.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate field and office teams.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Professional, client-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Surveying software, CADD, GPS, and digital field-data experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead land surveying projects from initiation through final delivery, ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Coordinate field crews, survey technicians, and office personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Provide technical guidance on boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
  • Review survey data and deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Coordinate field data collection, processing, drafting, and final project production.
  • Identify project risks, resolve issues, and keep projects moving forward.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to balance technical requirements, client expectations, and project deadlines.
  • Help maintain a high standard of quality, service, and professionalism across assigned projects.
