Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking an experienced land surveying professional to lead projects from kickoff through final delivery in Virginia and Florida. You will coordinate field crews, manage scope, schedules, budgets, and client relationships while providing technical direction on boundary, ALTA/NSPS surveys.

Applicants should have 5+ years of land surveying experience with strong knowledge of surveying principles. Relocation support may be available based on circumstances.

Pay: $79,000.00 - $142,000.00 per year

• Coordinate field crews, survey technicians, and office personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Provide technical guidance on boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Review survey data and deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Coordinate field data collection, processing, drafting, and final project production.
• Identify project risks, resolve issues, and keep projects moving forward.
• Collaborate with internal teams to balance technical requirements, client expectations, and project deadlines.
• Help maintain a high standard of quality, service, and professionalism across assigned projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of land surveying experience.
• Proven experience managing or coordinating surveying projects.
• Strong understanding of land surveying principles and practices.
• Experience with boundary, topographic, construction, and/or ALTA/NSPS surveying.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively coordinate field and office teams.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and deadlines.
• Professional, client-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Surveying software, CADD, GPS, and digital field-data experience is a plus.
