Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to join our Land Development group in Virginia. You will lead civil design efforts, coordinate internal teams, and collaborate with city staff to advance project plans.

Qualifications

Demonstrates competence in fundamental civil engineering design principles for land development projects.
Experienced in cost estimating, bid phase assistance construction administration, and general construction methods.
Demonstrates proficiency with CAD/Civil 3D and production software and ability to learn new versions or new technology.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents; write effective reports and correspondence.
Construction document and 3D production ability.
Firm understanding of site development engineering design and current industry trends.

Responsibilities

Executes land development civil engineering projects efficiently (meets schedules and budgets).
Supports land development teams to produce civil plan sets.
Manages internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology and hydraulics) and communicates schedules and budgets.
Implements QA/QC program and ensures compliance within project team.
Works with City/County staff for approval of project plans.
Manages multiple projects simultaneously and allocates resources across stages.
Administers construction services portions of projects including RFI responses and site meetings.
