Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Land Development team in California.

The role involves executing land development civil engineering projects on schedule and budget, supporting civil teams to produce plan sets, and coordinating with city/county staff for plan approvals. Candidates should have at least four years of land development experience, a PE license or be eligible within 6–12 months, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in land development engineering design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the applicable state (or eligible within 6–12 months).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute land development civil engineering projects on schedule and budget.
• Support land development teams to produce civil plan sets.
• Manage internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology, etc.).
• Implement QA/QC program within the project team.
• Coordinate with City/County staff for plan approvals.
• Lead up to five assigned technical personnel including training and performance reviews.
• Administer construction services portions (RFI, site meetings, etc.).
