Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Land Development team. You will manage civil engineering design, cost estimates, and plan production to meet schedules and budgets.

The role involves coordinating with internal teams and city staff for approvals, while mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and is eligible for PE licensure, with strong CAD/Civil 3D and AutoCAD skills, plus excellent communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Demonstrates competence in fundamental civil engineering design principles for land development projects.
• Experienced in cost estimating, bid phase assistance construction administration, and general construction methods.
• Proficient with CAD/Civil 3D and production software; able to learn new versions or technologies.
• Reads, analyzes, and interprets documents; writes effective reports and correspondence.
• Understands site development engineering design and current industry trends, codes, and regulations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; capable of mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Execute land development civil engineering projects within schedules and budgets.
• Support teams to produce civil plan sets and manage internal resources.
• Lead up to five technical personnel; oversee assignments, review work, and train staff.
• Administer construction services including RFI responses and site meetings.
• Coordinate with City/County staff for plan approvals and compliance.
