Job summary

Cardinal Health’s Lab Sales team seeks a Sales Consultant for Laboratory Products & Distribution in Minnesota. You will lead complex solutions for hospital and independent labs, growing Cardinal Health Brand and distribution services while building relationships with current and new accounts.

Responsibilities include territory management, contract negotiations, product demonstrations, trainings, and collaboration across national accounts and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Sales experience in distribution or healthcare preferred.
• Residency within the managed territory (near largest vendors).
• Experience with Microsoft apps and Salesforce CRM.
• Signals of fast-paced, complex sales process understanding.
• Business development and cold calling experience.
• Strong organization and business acumen.
• Proven high achievement and coachability.
• Willingness to travel 4–6 overnights per month.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Credentialing may be required (vaccinations).

Responsibilities

• Manage a large territory to increase account penetration and customer satisfaction in the lab space.
• Drive new business, service, and Cardinal brand growth across products and services.
• Collaborate with national accounts, GPOs and vendors to achieve results.
• Lead territory planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation and deal economics.
• Negotiate local contracts, including costing with manufacturers.
• Ensure service levels and coordinate with internal teams on pricing and inventory.
• Maintain contract integrity and account data in the system.
• Provide product demonstrations and staff trainings.
• Complete admin tasks, pipeline, and SFDC updates.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and regional events as directed.
• Maintain sales activity levels and travel as needed.
• Assist with distribution order support and back-orders.
• Stay aware of industry landscape, including GPOs and reimbursement.
• Travel within territory, including overnights.
