Job summary

Cardinal Health in the Minneapolis area is seeking a Sales Consultant, Laboratory Products & Distribution, to grow our brand and distribution services in hospital and independent labs. You will lead efforts to expand our lab product portfolio and provide tailored solutions across disciplines, including custom kitting and distribution services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Previous successful sales experience in distribution or healthcare preferred; lab experience beneficial.
• Lives within the managed territory (within 30 minutes of city with largest prime vendors).
• Experience with Microsoft applications and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
• Understands the sales process in a fast-paced, complex selling environment.
• Must have business development and cold calling experience.
• Strong organizational skills and business acumen.
• Ability to travel (about 4–6 overnights per month).
• Driver's license from any US state with a clean record; vendor credentialing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Grow Cardinal Health Brand and distribution services in targeted labs.
• Drive new business and growth across lab products and distribution services.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners including national accounts, GPOs, and vendors.
• Lead territory management: account planning and selling processes.
• Negotiate local contracts and costing agreements with manufacturers.
• Ensure service levels and accountability for pricing, inventory, and support.
• Maintain SFDC records and other administrative tasks.
• Travel within the territory to call on accounts and maintain in-person presence.
