Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to provide technical oversight across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis and related sections, ensuring compliance with CAP, TJC, CLIA and AABB standards.

You will develop testing procedures, monitor quality control, train staff, schedule workloads, and maintain instrument maintenance programs while coordinating with physicians and management to deliver accurate, timely results.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent required; Master's preferred.
5+ years in a clinical laboratory; 3+ years in the specific specialty area.
Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Develops, trains and monitors testing procedures.
Maintains quality control and quality assurance programs.
Maintains written procedure manuals and updates annually.
Oversees staff orientation, interviewing, scheduling and performance evaluations.
Ensures regulatory compliance (CAP, TJC, CLIA, AABB) and safety procedures.
Performs phlebotomy and routine lab duties as needed.
Communicates with physicians and staff regarding test results and interpretations.
