Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology or Biological Science required.
• ASCP certified generalist or categorical Technologist or eligible; must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• Experience with computers including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepares specimens for examination.
• Performs complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and/or bacteriological tests.
• Uses automated equipment capable of running multiple tests simultaneously.
• Performs quality control, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting on instruments per lab protocols.
• Evaluates QC/calibration results and reports patient results to providers.
