Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to provide technical oversight of the laboratory sections and ensure accurate, compliant testing for pediatric to geriatric patients. The role includes developing procedures, maintaining QA/QC programs, and supervising staff under CAP, TJC, CLIA, and AABB guidelines.

Daily duties include phlebotomy, instrument maintenance coordination, and collaboration withPathologist/Manager to guide testing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent; Master's preferred.
• 3–5 years related laboratory experience.
• 5 years in a clinical laboratory with at least 3 in a specialty area.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develops, trains, and monitors testing procedures.
• Maintains quality control and quality assurance programs.
• Reviews and updates written procedures annually.
• Oversees staff orientation, interviewing, and scheduling.
• Ensures safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
