Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology or Biological Science required.
• ASCP certified generalist or categorical Technologist or equivalent accreditation required.
• 3 years full time experience required for exceptional internal candidates, 5 or more years’ experience highly preferred by external applicants.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource for assigned areas of expertise and provides technical support to staff.
• Assists in researching new tests, performs instrument evaluations, writes SOPs, and maintains supplies.
• Oversees quality control and instrumentation logs to ensure accuracy of test results.
• Trains Medical Lab Scientists and Medical Lab Technicians; participates in training/competency procedures.
