Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Operations Supervisor to lead the laboratory team and ensure compliant testing of blood products. The role requires supervising staff, maintaining QA standards, and coordinating with leadership to optimize operations.

The position emphasizes hands-on laboratory testing across routine to complex analyses, with cross-training in specialized tests and strict adherence to SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• 2+ years of lead/supervisor experience preferred.
• Must qualify as a technical supervisor per CLIA Regulations 493.1423.
• Ability to work diverse shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and complete documentation clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line supervision over the technical and operational staff in the laboratory area.
• Participates in hiring processes and conducts performance evaluations.
• Process, evaluate and document initial training and competency assessments.
• Write, revise, and collaborate on testing, production, and validation protocols.
• Collaborates with Director to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
• Perform a full range of laboratory tests with minimal supervision.
• Maintain records of testing and distribution, ensure quality control and proficiency testing.
• Provide Quality Assurance support to Laboratory Operations.
