Job summary

Patient First is seeking a Laboratory Technologist/Technician to monitor analyses, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality patient test results. The role requires handling test systems, performing remedial actions when needed, and maintaining documentation in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.

The position includes on-site responsibilities, supervision of personnel, and collaboration with Medical Support to ensure center operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have minimum typing experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• High School graduate (or equivalent).
• Incumbent in PA or NJ must hold a bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science, or HEW certification, plus six years of lab experience.
• Knowledge of Medical Technology principles and lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure analytic performance.
• Ensure remedial actions when test systems deviate from specs.
• Supervising lab personnel to meet quality standards and procedures.
• Maintain patient test result integrity and report system issues.
• Assist in interviewing and training lab staff.
• Maintain records of laboratory tests and inventory; support center operations.
