Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related Biological/Chemical Science from an accredited college/university.
• Must have passed national certification exam as a laboratory scientist accredited by an approved agency.
• 1 year related experience with high complexity testing.
• PC basic skills to enter data and use computer systems; strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes specimens, prioritizes work to meet turnaround times.
• Performs testing according to established procedures and documents results.
• Maintains quality control and instrument calibration.
• Assists supervisor and supports department operations during high volume times.
• Ensures accurate reporting of results and proper LIS/TSIS usage.
