Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking a Laboratory Technical Supervisor to provide technical and scientific oversight of the general laboratory, microbiology, and point-of-care services. You will support transfusion medicine oversight and ensure reliable daily operations across Bellevue Hospital Laboratory and outreach sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• MLS/MLT certification required.
• Three to five years’ hospital supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations with the Director, manage decision-making and problem-solving.
• Ensure testing methods and test performance specifications are maintained.
• Oversee quality control programs and proficiency testing; ensure safety and compliance.
• Provide staff development, competency assessments, and scheduling.
• Liaise with hospital departments and outreach locations to ensure quality patient care.
