Job summary

Patient First in Kentucky is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor/Technologist to oversee daily lab operations, monitor testing, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring timely reporting of results.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, CPR certification, and strong communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high accuracy under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Must be able to perform CPR and update certification.
• Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communications are required.
• Must be able to lift 20–50 lbs.
• Ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to maintain analytic performance and report concerns.
• Ensure remedial actions are taken when test systems deviate from specifications.
• Assure proficiency testing is performed within the required time frame.
• Supervise lab personnel to ensure quality and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient test results only when systems are functioning properly and report issues.
