Job summary

Parexel is seeking a Scientist 3 - Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator for a full-time, long-term assignment onsite with a client in Rahway, NJ. This role includes comprehensive benefits and paid time off.

You will oversee laboratory operations across multiple labs, manage equipment maintenance, and ensure safety practices are implemented. Strong organizational, communication, and lab skills are essential to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or similar life sciences or engineering discipline
• 3-5 years of experience for Scientist 3
• 5+ years of experience for Senior Scientist I

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory functions and staff.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth operations during lab stand-downs and initiatives.
• Manage temperature storage facilities and safety protocols.
• Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions; ensure expiry dates are respected.
• Receive samples via LIMS and prepare for testing.
• Submit work orders for lab equipment and calibrations; coordinate technicians.
• Schedule preventive maintenance for lab equipment.
• Coordinate inventory and procurement of lab supplies.
• Escort and supervise equipment technicians on site.
