Job summary

Christie Clinic's University clinic in Champaign is seeking a full-time Receptionist to greet patients, check them in, answer calls and schedule visits Monday–Friday 7:00am–6:00pm, with travel to other locations and rotating Saturdays as needed.

You will act as a liaison between patients and medical support staff, assist with the electronic medical record, answer routine inquiries and maintain a neat lobby and work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Occasional travel to other locations with rotating Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages and provide information.
• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
• Check in patients, verify and update information in the electronic medical record.
• Assist patients with ambulatory difficulties.
• Maintain lobby and work area in neat and orderly condition.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
