Job summary

Christie Clinic in Champaign, IL, seeks a full-time Central Registration Check-In specialist at Windsor clinic (Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm). You will greet patients, verify demographics/insurance, collect co-pays, and post payments. You’ll liaise with patient financial representatives and medical staff to ensure smooth admissions.

The role requires strong customer service and professionalism, with preference for experience in medical, insurance, or financial offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
• Experience in a medical, insurance, or financial office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously.
• Check in patients using Front Office standard work and collect signatures.
• Review and update demographic and insurance information.
• Collect co-payments and prepayments; post payments.
• Balance cash drawer daily and maintain accurate change.
• Coordinate with patient financial representatives and clinical staff.
• Maintain front desk and waiting area in neat, orderly condition.
• Provide back-up coverage and cross-train for department tasks.
