Job summary

Christie Clinic is seeking a full-time Central Registration Check In associate at the Windsor clinic in Champaign, IL. The role handles greeting patients, updating demographics and insurance details, collecting co-pays, and serving as a liaison between patients and staff. It offers a 8:00am-5:00pm daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and demonstrate outstanding customer service and professionalism in a medical office environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstration of excellent customer service skills and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
• Check in patients following Front Office standard work
• Review and update demographic and insurance information
• Provide appropriate forms and obtain required signatures
• Collect copayments and/or prepayments at time of service
• Post payments for cash, check and card transactions
• Maintain daily balance of cash drawer and appropriate change
• Provide coverage at the front desk as needed
• Take and post payments for services and items sold
• Participate in and lead daily department huddles
• Inform clinical areas of patient arrivals and maintain open communication
• Screen visitors and respond to routine information requests
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas and waiting room
• Cross-train and provide back-up coverage as needed
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and professionalism
• Perform related work as required
