Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor with strong leadership and clinical chemistry/biology expertise. The role leads performance improvement, ensures QA and regulatory compliance, and mentors staff across the lab.

You will oversee testing workflows, incident investigations, and staff development while maintaining safety standards and accurate reporting. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science required.
• 3+ years of clinical laboratory experience required.
• 1+ year of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and participates in laboratory performance improvement activities, promoting teamwork, engagement, and safety.
• Manages quality assessment, oversight, problem solving, scheduling, and staff evaluations.
• Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment checks, specimen processing, QC and calibration.
• Handles post-analytical reporting and interpretation of complex results.
• Provides orientation and training to new employees and students.
