AdventHealth Daytona Beach laboratory is seeking a qualified leader to oversee performance improvement, quality control, and staff development. You will coordinate tests, ensure compliance, and guide a team through complex analyses in a patient-focused setting.

The role requires 3+ years in clinical laboratory work and a Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related field, with strong communication and organizational skills for daily operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership experience (preferred).
• 3+ years of clinical laboratory experience (required).
• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Knowledge of quality improvement and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory performance improvement activities and promote teamwork.
• Manage quality assessment, oversight, scheduling, and staff evaluations.
• Perform pre-analytical activities, equipment checks, and inventory control.
• Participate in proficiency testing and document procedures.
• Examine complex test results and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Provide orientation and training to staff and students.
• Ensure safety policies and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Support education to clinical staff and resolve service issues.
