Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida seeks an experienced laboratory leader responsible for directing performance improvement activities and ensuring high-quality patient testing. The role requires a Bachelor’s in lab science or medical technology and 3+ years in a clinical lab, with leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating training, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited program
• 3+ years of clinical laboratory experience required
• 1+ year of leadership experience preferred
• Military training in medical lab procedures acceptable as alternative

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory performance improvement activities and promote team engagement
• Oversee quality assessment, scheduling, staff evaluations, and training
• Perform pre-analytical activities including equipment checks, calibrations, and documentation
• Interpret complex test results and support education of staff
• Provide orientation and training to new employees and students
• Support customer service and education for clinical staff as appropriate
