Job summary

Accenture seeks an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to design and govern domain ontologies for enterprise knowledge graphs. You will bridge business stakeholders, data engineering, and AI/ML teams to model complex domains into standards-compliant semantic representations.

Hybrid role with in-office work and client travel (20-80%). Requires 5+ years in ontology engineering and a Bachelor's in Information Science, CS, or related field; experience with OWL/RDF/SKOS and tools like Protégé,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering or semantic modeling.
• Experience delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting contexts.
• Ability to translate business concepts into machine-readable semantics.

Responsibilities

• Lead ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment and validation.
• Design T-Box schemas and hydration patterns across data sources.
• Create ontologies, vocabularies, and mappings using OWL, RDF, SKOS.
• Collaborate with data engineers, NLP teams, and SMEs on governance.
• Coach stakeholders in competency questions to guide scope and testing.
• Ensure alignment with business goals and data governance practices.
