Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to drive domain ontology design, governance, and delivery for enterprise knowledge graph initiatives. You will bridge business stakeholders, data engineering, and AI/ML teams to translate complex domains into rigorous semantic models that power intelligent applications.

Hybrid role requiring office time and client travel (20-80%). Minimum 5 years in ontology engineering with a strong background in OWL/RDF/SHACL and knowledge

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering or knowledge modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead ontology lifecycle: requirements gathering, conceptual modeling, formal specification (OWL 2, RDFS, SKOS), validation, deployment.
• Design T-Box structures and hydration patterns across structured and unstructured data sources.
• Apply naming conventions, URI strategies, and modular ontology architecture principles.
• Create and evolve ontologies, taxonomies, and vocabularies using OWL, RDF, RDFS, SKOS.
• Map relational databases into semantic frameworks and build knowledge graphs for reasoning and analytics.
• Coach business SMEs in developing competency questions to guide ontology scope and testing.
