Job summary

Accenture seeks an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to design and govern domain ontologies for enterprise knowledge graphs. You will translate business concepts into semantic models (OWL/RDFS/SKOS) and align with governance, data quality, and regulatory requirements.

You will work with business SMEs, data engineering, and AI/ML teams in a hybrid role with travel to client sites, shaping ontology standards and deployment across domains.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering.
• Delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead ontology lifecycle: requirements, conceptual modeling, formal specification (OWL 2, RDFS, SKOS), validation and deployment.
• Design T-Box schemas and contribute to A-Box hydration across data sources.
• Apply naming conventions, URI strategies, and modular ontology architecture principles.
• Create and evolve ontologies, vocabularies using OWL, RDF, RDFS, SKOS; map data structures to semantic models.
• Collaborate with SMEs, data engineers, and AI/ML teams; support competency questions and governance.
