Job summary

Accenture seeks an experienced Knowledge Modeler/Ontologist to design and govern enterprise ontologies for knowledge graphs across data sources. You will translate business concepts into rigorous semantic models, apply OWL/RDFS/SKOS standards, and collaborate with data engineers and AI/ML teams.

You will lead ontology governance, validation, and alignment with business goals, ensuring compliance with regulatory and data governance practices. Hybrid role with client travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering or knowledge modeling.
• Minimum 5 years delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead ontology lifecycle: requirements, conceptual modeling, formal specs (OWL 2, RDFS, SKOS), validation, deployment.
• Design T-Box structures and support A-Box hydration across sources.
• Apply naming conventions, URI strategies, and modular ontology architecture.
• Create and evolve ontologies, taxonomies, vocabularies using OWL, RDF, RDFS, SKOS.
• Map relational data into semantic frameworks and build knowledge graphs.
