Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a kitchen helper to prepare breakfast and/or lunch items and assist with serving lines. You will participate in occasional catering functions and perform all positions within the kitchen.

Responsibilities include batch cooking, maintaining temperatures, keeping areas clean, operating slicers and mixers, and following Opaa! recipes and safety procedures. Basic reading ability and prior food service experience are helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment with proper training or certification.
• Basic math for portioning and recipe conversions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast and/or lunch items according to the menu plan.
• Assist in serving lines and ensure food is presented well.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and comply with safety procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment and monitor temperatures to meet HACCP standards.
• Assist with inventory, FIFO procedures, and restocking as needed.
• Handle cash register tasks and meal reconciliation when required.
