Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking a versatile kitchen worker to assist with breakfast and lunch service, prep, and general kitchen duties across daily operations. The role includes setting up serving lines, maintaining temperatures, and supporting catering events as needed.

Responsibilities cover recipe prep, inventory, sanitation, and operating kitchen equipment in accordance with Opaa! recipes and safety procedures, with emphasis on teamwork and quality presentation for students and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math for counting, measurements, and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the set-up of serving lines and maintain food at required temperatures.
• Assist in food preparation according to menu and Opaa! recipes; prep for next day menus.
• Operate equipment (slicer, mixer, grinder) with proper certification and keep areas clean.
• Maintain inventory and FIFO procedures; ensure storage and cooler cleanliness.
• Ensure food safety through HACCP processes and daily temperature logs.
