Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, a regional school nutrition partner, seeks a versatile kitchen assistant to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering events.

You will follow Opaa! recipes, set up serving areas, maintain clean workspaces, monitor temperatures, and support inventory and daily production records in a busy cafeteria environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read menus and follow recipes.
• Able to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up serving lines and maintain proper food temperatures.
• Prepare foods according to menu and Opaa! recipes.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders with proper certification.
• Maintain clean work areas and practice FIFO.
• Assist with daily food prep and batch cooking.
