Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking an adaptable kitchen worker to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings and assist with serving lines in our school cafeteria. You will follow menus, stock coolers, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

The role involves batch cooking, operating kitchen equipment, and adhering to Opaa!'s recipes, HACCP guidelines, and FIFO inventory practices while delivering friendly service to students and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods for meal service according to the menu plan and Opaa! recipes.
• Set up serving lines, assist with serving, and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain neat and clean work areas and proper FIFO inventory practices.
• Assist in cleaning kitchen and cafeteria areas and restocking supplies as needed.
