Job summary

Opaa! Food Management seeks an energetic kitchen team member to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering functions.

You will perform all kitchen positions, support HACCP processes, and help manage daily production in a fast-paced setting. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience, training, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers and coworkers.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO inventory practices.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas, equipment, and dishes.
• Prepare breads, cakes, cookies and other baked goods as required by the menu.
• Assist with batch cooking to maintain quality and presentation.
• Serve items with proper portions and presentation; provide hospitable service.
