Sonesta International Hotels seeks a dedicated Steward to join our culinary team in Charlotte. The role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure guest satisfaction. You will support the chefs, keep the kitchen orderly, and maintain high sanitation standards throughout your shift.

Qualifications

• Regular and punctual attendance is required.
• Ability to lift and move approximately 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb and reach daily.
• Ability to work in temperature extremes and with chemicals.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned kitchen areas.
• Follow all policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance needs to the Sous Chef.
• Set up and operate the dish machine and related equipment.
• Keep work areas organized and safe throughout shifts.
• Assist with deep-cleaning and special cleaning projects as needed.
