Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support our culinary team by cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in line with standards. You will help maintain a clean, organized back-of-house and ensure guest satisfaction through sanitation and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Regular and punctual attendance is required.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds daily.
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive motions in a hot kitchen.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced team environment.
• Attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Check with supervisor at start of shift for special assignments.
• Assist in dumping all trash in the kitchen area.
• Maintain a positive attitude under stressful situations.
• Follow all policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance needs to the Sous Chef.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Verify cleanliness of dish machine before use.
• Set up and operate the dish machine per procedures.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Ensure proper storage of china, glass, and silverware.
