Job summary

OTH Hotels Resorts is seeking a dedicated Steward to uphold cleanliness and sanitation in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. This role is essential to support culinary teams by keeping cookware, utensils, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for service.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation standards, assisting kitchen staff during service, and ensuring safe storage of cleaning supplies. A high school diploma and experience in food service are preferred; no travel is required,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as a kitchen steward, dishwasher, or in a food service setting is preferred; experience handling cleaning chemicals is required.

Responsibilities

• Wash all pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently.
• Ensure all items are free of food residue, grease, and smoke stains before storage.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, trash receptacles, and workstations throughout the shift.
• Follow all sanitation procedures and health code requirements consistently.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with cleaning and organizational needs during service.
• Ensure timely availability of clean kitchen tools and equipment.
• Support overall kitchen workflow by maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• Properly store cleaned items in designated areas in an organized manner.
• Maintain dishwashing and stewarding areas in a clean and efficient condition.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning supplies are used and stored safely.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and detergents safely and according to guidelines.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and sanitation standards.
• Report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or maintenance needs promptly.
