Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a versatile kitchen worker to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering. You will perform all positions within the kitchen to support daily service.

You will follow recipes, monitor temperatures, keep areas clean, manage inventory, and adhere to HACCP and HHFKA regulations. Strong attention to safety and teamwork are essential for this role, which supports student meals across service lines.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent
• Reasoning Ability: Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems with concrete variables

Responsibilities

• Assist with the set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; batch cook and present to customers.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and practice FIFO; handle inventory and equipment safely.
• Follow HACCP processes, log temperatures, and maintain daily production records per guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment with proper certification and support serving operations as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in required trainings and safety programs.
