Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking a kitchen assistant to prepare breakfast and/or lunch, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering. You will perform tasks across the kitchen, maintain clean workspaces, and ensure foods are held at proper temperatures.

The role requires following recipes, managing FIFO inventory, operating various kitchen Equipment, and upholding safety and hospitality standards. High School Diploma or GED is preferred; on-the-job training may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience or training.
• Ability to follow recipes and menus for consistent quality.
• Basic math and ability to use a cash register or POS system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast or lunch items and assist with serving lines.
• Maintain FIFO stock and ensure proper food temperatures.
• Operate kitchen equipment with proper safety procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; assist with dishwashing and cleanup.
• Assist in catering events and batch cook as needed.
• Present food to customers with good hospitality and portion control.
