Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a dedicated kitchen worker to prepare and serve breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with catering functions, and perform all kitchen positions as needed.

The role involves food preparation, line setup, inventory housekeeping, and ensuring compliance with safety and meal pattern regulations. The position requires basic math and customer service skills, with opportunities across multiple states.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at the correct temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes, and plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow FIFO inventory practices.
• Handle customer monies, run a cash register or POS, and ensure only reimbursable meals pass through the system.
