Job summary

The Yay Company is seeking a Kitchen & Service Assistant at the Bethlehem site to keep the kitchen running, prep for production, label and stage items for distribution, and serve as the face of Yay during lunch and grab-and-go service.

This role may include packing food for spoke schools and delivering orders. It is a hands-on, fast-paced position requiring reliability, strong attention to detail, and a student-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen, café, or food service setting.
• Strong attention to labeling, staging, and portioning accuracy.
• Customer-friendly, student-facing service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen Prep Support: washing, chopping, weighing, and portioning ingredients.
• Labeling & staging: label items and organize by location or route.
• Spoke school packing & delivery: pack, label, and transport orders safely.
• Lunch distribution: assemble and distribute orders to on-site or spoke schools.
• Grab & go: stock, price display, and run checkout.
• Cleaning & kitchen support: clean as you go and assist with breakdown.
